I wanted to show him that I honor and respect his ideas, so I decided to help him make one of his games. The little entrepreneur in him wanted to try selling it here on my blog. He worked so hard on it! We even made a silly movie as a family. (I think they liked that part the best). We're taking it to school on Monday to try out with his friends.
With all the pride in a mothers heart, I present to you...
Kye's Fraction Football!
It is a special game because he designed it to be a 3D file folder game! The research he did just to make it 3D was impressive. He learned how to run Microsoft Publisher and how to make the shapes stay together. Right now his 3rd grade class is working on fractions, so he decided that would be a good subject to focus his game on. We aligned it with CCSS Math 3.NF.3d (comparing fractions).
It's amazing all the skills he practiced just by making this game. I highly recommend allowing your students to do it or your child! We had a blast together and he didn't mind working one bit. He enjoyed watching his ideas come to life.
Inside you'll find a fancy looking football field, complete with a stadium, score board and football players. Football is one of his favorite sports and he chose blue and orange because he is BSU fan.
If you purchase Kye's game, all the proceeds will go to his future education. I love that you can be part of inspiring him as a learner and a possible future entrepreneur! So thank you for taking the time to look it over.
One more thing...my kids were in laughing fits making this video. Will you leave a comment for them? You are the best!
