Tutor Bucks

Do you have some students that lack motivation to be responsible or come with a good attitude to tutoring?  I have in the past and it really took some incentives to get the right behavior and performance out of this student.  You can read more about what I did here, but I decided to make a money system called Tutor Bucks to give to my students when they are doing awesome.

They can earn a tutor buck each time they come or several each time they come.  I provide an envelope for them to store their money in here at tutoring.  When the month ends, they can "spend" their tutoring money on items from my incentive box.

Inside the incentive box could be candy, school supplies, a special pencil, toys from a second hand store, etc.  Keep is simple.  You may never know what motivates a student!  I once had one that wanted to work for classic pencil sharpener.  I was willing!  Anything to get him to come willing to work harder for me.
