Tic-Tac-Toe
I find myself falling into the trap that I always need to have something amazing or fantastic for my students each time they come. Over the years though, I am beginning to realize they are just as content with playing classic games like Tic Tac Toe, checkers, and such.
To sneak in a little learning with Tic Tac Toe, I made myself a grid on paper and laminated. Before my students come, I will write word study words on it or math problems. They are more than willing to play the game with me and enjoy the break from doing book work or worksheets.
What classic games have you altered to add a little more appeal to a lesson?
