Reading Path Games are great for word study. Students will be working with specific letters to make initial blends, digraphs, tri-graphs, R-controlled, diphthongs, vowel sounds...Students will look in the circle on the game board and select two letters they want to make a new sound with. Then they will look on the game board for word with those letters in it and read it out loud to another student. Finally they cover it with a game marker or little eraser.
The object of the game is for a student to make a clear path from one side of the board to the other. It's kind of hard to explain, so I made a little video to show you what I mean.
