When I started putting this giveaway together, I knew that curriculum needed to be part of it. I began asking my teacher friends and they have generously donated in a LARGE way! You're going to love these reading goodies. I've been snooping around in all of them and I am so excited that one lucky tutor will get to enjoy these! I wanted to show you all the goods...
A copy of This Reading Mama's latest eBook, How To Choose Just Right Books, is part of this awesome prize package. I had the honor of reading this book before it was available to the public. I found it to take a huge topic and make it understandable to any parent, tutor, or new teacher. Becky Spence has a degree in reading and tutored for a lot of years too. She's put all this expertise into this gem of an eBook.
Emily of The Reading Tutor/OG donated this darling persuasive and descriptive writing activity called Sweet Treats. The clip art is super cute, but the activity is fun too! Students will write an advertisement for their latest cupcake creation. Steps involve describing their cupcake before they can write that add.
Denise of Sunny Days donated this pack of task cards that you can use with any book! Word Work Literacy Center makes a great warm up activity for tutoring. Students are prompted to find different types of word in a text of your choice. I love the bright and friendly colors used in these task cards.
Rachel of Minds in Bloom donated her Reading Strategy Task Card Mini Bundle. This bundle includes task cards for finding the author's purpose, summarizing, and making connections. These task cards and easy to use and make tutoring super fun!
John of An Educators Life donated this awesome bundle of fiction book reports! Students will be actively engaged in the fictional book they are reading and excited to present their book report to their class.
Last, but not least---
Connie of Teach it Write wrote The House of Comprehension. This book is filled with clever illustrations and downright helpful writing tips. Her book helped me to become a better writer as well. I've recently reviewed this book, you can read more about my thoughts of this book here.
So far in this giveaway, we've seen a Wacom Tablet, a 6 month subscription to Tutors Nirvana, and now a bundle of Language Arts Resources! Come back tomorrow to see what's next!
