Business Tip: Carnivals!

There is no better way to build your business than to get involved in your community.  Most schools have to find ways to raise money to supplement their budgets.  Every year I hear of schools doing a carnival to raise money.  You need to get in on the action!

To find a school that is having a carnival near you, start hunting for schools and call them up.  Ask if they are having a carnival any time soon, then ask how you can get in touch with the person heading it up.  Most likely it will be a PTO or PTA president. 

When you have them on the phone, explain that you would like to volunteer to run a booth at their carnival.  Make sure to mention that you will have signage out about your tutoring business.  Watch this video below to see one fun idea for a booth to do at the carnival.  It's simple and fun for kids of all ages.

By the time you get all of your materials together, you are looking at spending between $40-$50 on your carnival booth.  With the new students you have, you should be able to recoup your costs in no time.
