Those of you that adore your smart phones may already know about this handy little app. Yelp! is one of the coolest apps out there. When you have the Yelp! app on your phone, you can literally walk out on your step and ask it to search for "burrito" close to your home. It will show you who is close by and what others (most importantly-your friends) think of these business establishments.
So how are you going to use this for tutoring? You can list yourself here and ask previous students to write a review. Then you can use the tool to promote yourself and advertise special discounts. Basically, it's to let others know that they have a choice besides big box tutoring businesses. They have you now!
I felt like there were so many great tutorials to show you how to navigate Yelp! So I've included their video links. So give it a try and let me know how it goes.
