Freebies for Tutors!
I am getting geared up for new students this year. This is the first year I've had in a long time that all of my students have moved on this summer. There will be a whole new batch of kids this year. Playing "Getting to Know You" games is a great way to engage them and have them learn a little about you too.

Getting to Know You Jenga
My first find comes from Rachel Lynette of Minds in Bloom. Rachel and I both have found Jenga to be an amazing educational tool in the classroom. She's made these strips of questions that you tape right onto the block itself. There are 54 questions in all. Download it here. Thanks for sharing Rachel.
Next lovely find comes from Addie of Teacher Talk (an awesome blog for middle and high school teachers). She made a Back to School Survey. I think a survey is a fantastic idea for older students. Some of my older students wouldn't want to play a game, but a survey maybe less painful to them. :) You can download it for free right here.
A super fun and different idea for a math student comes from Breeze Through Math. She made this fantastic game that involves fractions. It could serve as a quick assessment and getting to know you activity. Download the Fraction Getting to Know You Game here.

Back to School Freebie Foldable
Okay, this one is a non-TpT freebie...but I just had to thow it in! Andrea Kerr of For the Love of Teaching Math made an awesome tutorial to show you how to make her freebie called Back to School Foldable. It has a place for writing down some goals and other questions that allow the student to tell you more about themselves. So handy! Thanks Andrea.
Thanks to everyone for making and sharing great items for teachers and tutors. It takes lots of hours! If you have time, let these teachers know you appreciate it by leaving them a rating or liking their product. Have a great Sunday everyone.
